Peta Lawson, LPC
One of my passions is working with children, adolescents, and families by helping them develop the skills they need to successfully navigate life’s problems and challenges. Children best express themselves through play, and through their play, we can gain access into their world. When working with adolescents and teenagers, I incorporate different activities to help them discover their inner strength.
I specialize in the treatment of individuals with symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD and addiction as well as self-esteem, conduct and behavioral challenges. Through a combination of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based counseling modalities, I help individuals reduce their symptoms and improve their emotional wellness.
I am a graduate of Post University with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. Later on, I earned my Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling and Human Services.
My hobbies include traveling, cooking, gardening and time with family and friends.
